michael krisa aka That Interview Guy® shares an important reason why you need to be using video in your social media marketing … as he floats down the Saugeen River.
One of the things I share with real estate professionals is the Absolute need to be using video … not because it’s cool or trendy but because it is impactful!
Video allows the viewer to see you, experience you and get to know you from the security and safety of their computer … they set the rules of engagement and decide whether or not they want to work with you.
Well michael – you ask – why would I want to give them such control?
Because they already have control – ultimately they decide whether or not they will choose to work with you so why not make it easier for yourself and them?
Floyd Wickman said it best … “I’m going to lose the same amount of customers … I’m just going to lose them faster!”
Think about that for a moment … your videos are pre-qualifying your customers … meaning that when they do meet you they have ALREADY Made the Conscious Decision to do business with you.
You no longer have to waste time trying to convince them way they should work with you … you can now focus your efforts on how you can best help and serve them.
What an awesome position to be in!

Hello Michael,
I didn’t realize that kayaking was one of your many talents. I appreciate the ‘plug’ for the Kodak Playsport. Nice video.
Hey Dave,
If I’m going to run with the likes of the Vlogger-dude I have to be multi-talented to keep up.
All Good Wishes,
michael
PS. I was really pleasantly surprised with how good the mic is on that Kodak Play Sport … now if only for the next generation if could take still images like the Play Touch (hint hint)
Great Video Michael. I don’t think Real Estate Agents understand the power of video yet. Shortening the length of time to gain a clients Trust is critical for our business and video does that for us. They feel like they already know us which helps our business immensely.
Great job!
Marty
Marty,
It is a sad truth that 73% of home sellers would prefer to work with an agent that is video saavy … BUT … less than 8% of agents are.
The upside is that means more busine$$ for agnats like you that ARE DOING video.
All Good Wishes,
michael
Hey Jenny,
Glad I could open up your eyes to the posibilities.
Those stats’ I quoted were from a recent survey conducted by Realtor.com
As for liking it … I know you’ll enjoy this series to help fellow agents get a better graps on using video http://EasyAgentVideo.com
All Good WIshes,

Michael,
Great video. I am a mortgage professional and do videos on tips to help my agents. Take care!
Hey Peter,
Thanks!
You would be one on the few but would be willing to bet that you’re kicking some serious butt doing video.
Please send some links – I would love to feature what others are doing with video in a future post.
All Good Wishes,
michale krisa
Hi Michael, great simple message. Don’t forget, even if agents are a little apprehensive about doing the video stuff there are plenty of real estate photographers that have been getting ready for video for quite awhile now and can help with every aspect. And they don’t charge a bomb to do it, they just need to be asked.
Hey Mark thanks for the comment!
I agree that agents (heck most of the human race) are apprehensive when it comes to change. The real growth comes from embracing those things that make us afraid and doing them.
Continued Success my friend!
