Every time I ask around Realtors hate working with renters and than i have unhappy purchase prospects….HELP!

Thanks,

Hey Geroges,

Thank you so much for the comment.

It’s so sad and true that those little wireless devices can be such an addiction/distraction to what really matters – connect with others and learning continuously.

Avoiding travel and brick & mortar expenses and other issues has as well.

Michael, you do a great interview and I enjoy watching and listening because your audio is so good…clear and crisp. I do not have to play it over and over to catch the words that were said. Thanks and keep them videos rolling.

I can’t agree anymore with you that there seems to be a lack of interest in the real estate community as far as attending shows and conferences. I believe that this is a sign of times due, in part, to the introduction of the Internet that facilitates inter-personal communications between people and learning/training through highly specialized websites. In today’s society where we have a tendancy to isolate ourselves from each other, the Internet is fast and doesn’t require a person-to-person involvement/contact. The Internet also allows for anonymous interactions when one doesn’t want to be identified…in a matter of seconds

The other factor that plays an important role in the lack of attendance, is the “slow pace environment” while attending shows and conferences: you have to follow the organizors’ agenda, and most realtors (I believe) don’t want to wait that long when their cell phone/Blackberry rings because, in most cases, it’s a client calling…and nobody wants to keep a client waiting!

For my part, I attend shows and conferences because of the opportunities for interactions with other local real estate professionals when looking at information pertaining to former (local) market conditions, i.e.: details about background history on areas of prospects and building/neighbourhood situations . Market conditions change over the years and that type of information can only be known by talking to realtors who were exposed to sale marketc conditions at that time.

By and large, and due to technical innovations in social news media communications, the focus is essentially based on tomorrow evolution/changes with little left to historical facts in sales fluctuations. Today, at the click of a key, property information can be emailed…as a matter of facts, there’s no limit to the number of emails that can be sent out to interested parties! And that’s done without an exchange of words…

As modern society is emphasizing on individuals’ privacy, and isolation (“we live in cocoons!”), efficiency in the real estate industry is still depending on inter personal relationships. I’m affraid that the professionals among us who have forgotten this basic foundation of success, will eventually find themselves without the proper ability to communicate. Consequently, their survival, in this highly competitive real estate industry, will not be sustainable.
